Why this site exists
Most audio problems begin with a simple question — “why can’t I hear this?” — but a page full of unrelated play buttons leaves the user to interpret the result alone. Online Sound Test connects each observation to explainable next steps while keeping direct tools available.
Editorial approach
Content is written and maintained by the Online Sound Test Team. We do not publish fabricated laboratory claims, customer quotes, star ratings or medical advice. Methods and browser limits appear beside the tools they affect.
Independent and reader-supported
Online Sound Test is independently maintained. If the tools saved you time, you can support the project on Ko-fi (opens in a new tab). Contributions help cover hosting, browser compatibility checks and editorial updates; they do not influence diagnostic results or guide coverage.
Corrections and updates
Browser and operating-system audio behavior changes. Guides are reviewed when relevant interfaces or capabilities change. Send tool problems, compatibility reports and factual corrections to support@onlinesoundtest.com. For general inquiries, email hi@onlinesoundtest.com or review the contact guide.
