Terms of Use

Use the tools at a safe level and interpret their results as troubleshooting guidance, not laboratory or medical conclusions.

Effective date: August 3, 2026

Purpose

Online Sound Test provides browser-based audio signals, relative microphone displays and troubleshooting information. The service is provided for general informational and functional-testing purposes.

Safe use

You control system and hardware volume. Begin at a low level, do not use the tools to determine hearing thresholds, and stop immediately if sound is uncomfortable or equipment appears strained. Take particular care with continuous tones and very low frequencies.

No medical or calibration claim

The service is not a medical hearing test, acoustic certification, laboratory measurement or substitute for qualified repair advice. Results rely on user observations and browser capabilities.

Availability and compatibility

Browser APIs, device routing, permissions and operating-system interfaces vary. Features may be unavailable or behave differently across devices. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every audio path.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to create unsafe sound levels, interfere with another person’s device, bypass access controls, or misrepresent a result as certified measurement data.

Links and third parties

Operating-system and browser guidance may refer to third-party products. Their names belong to their respective owners, and their interfaces may change.

Privacy

Audio-processing and analytics behavior is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

These terms may be updated when features, legal requirements or operating practices change. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply.
