Controlled signal

The tool generates the test inside your browser with a bounded app-level gain. Your operating-system and hardware volume remain separate.

Local by default

Output tests do not upload audio. Microphone tools request permission only when started and explicitly state what stays in memory.

What this test checks

The sequence uses a stereo output to present front-left, center, front-right and virtual rear cues. It checks whether the current headphones, speakers and spatial processing preserve an ordered change in apparent position.

Use this test when
  • Checking game, movie or operating-system spatial-audio settings.
  • Positional cues feel collapsed, reversed or permanently in front.
It can verify
  • The order and stereo panning of the browser-generated positional sequence.
  • Whether left, center and right remain distinguishable on the selected output.
  • Whether enabling or disabling system spatial processing changes virtual rear perception.
It cannot verify
  • Discrete electrical output to physical 5.1 or 7.1 speaker terminals.
  • Correct AVR calibration, speaker distance or room correction.

How to run this test

Keep the level moderate and change one thing at a time so the result remains useful.
