Sound Diagnosis
Turn a sound-test observation into prioritized checks, system-specific repair steps and a controlled retest. The result is based on what you confirm, not automatic listening.
Run one known signal first
Diagnosis is more useful when you begin with a repeatable browser signal. Choose the path that matches the device you are checking, note what you hear, then return here.
Already tested? Continue to the diagnostic questions ↓What problem did the test reveal?
Choose the closest symptom. You will confirm only the observations that help separate its likely paths.
What this diagnosis checks
The rule engine compares the symptom you selected with the observations you explicitly confirmed. It orders useful checks; it does not measure probability or inspect physical hardware.
- A reason each check appears
- Repair steps for your operating system
- A matching tool to verify the change
- Which physical component failed
- Calibrated loudness or frequency response
- A cause when the signal was not tested
How results are ranked
These labels describe how directly a check matches your confirmed observations. They are troubleshooting guidance, not measured probabilities.
Stronger match
The selected symptom and a confirmed observation point toward the same part of the signal path. Verify it before changing hardware.
Possible match
The cause can explain the symptom, but another setting, connection or device can produce the same result.
Verify next
The browser cannot inspect this part directly. Compare another cable, device, app or controlled test before drawing a conclusion.
Audio problems covered
Open a focused repair guide when you already know the symptom, or use the diagnostic questions when several causes are still plausible.

Sound diagnosis questions
Does the browser diagnose sound automatically?
No. The browser generates known signals, while you confirm what reached the physical speakers, headphones or microphone. The page ranks checks from those confirmations.
What if I have not run a sound test yet?
Start with the speaker, headphone or microphone test above. Return after you can confirm at least one observation; untested answers are excluded from the ranking.
What if none of the symptoms fits?
Run the closest controlled test and change one setting, connection or device at a time. If the problem follows the same hardware to another known-good source, physical service becomes more plausible.
Does sound diagnosis record or upload audio?
No. The diagnosis asks about your observations and stores only compact answer and cause codes locally. Microphone audio is handled only inside the separate microphone tool after permission.
